A new, state-of-the-art health facility is coming to Manhattan.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Hunter College are teaming up to build a 750,000 square foot cancer treatment center and a science and nursing school on the Upper East Side.
The city is selling a portion of the site on 73rd Street to developers, clearing the way for the new facility.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the project will create more than 3,000 construction jobs and more than 800 permanent jobs.
