A community bid farewell Friday to a Brooklyn woman who was killed as she walked home from a grocery store.
Friends and family attended the funeral of Fatima Gordon at a Brooklyn church on Friday.
They said they're still reeling from the night of August 30, when a gunman opened fire, killing Gordon just days before her 29th birthday and injuring three others.
"I just can't believe it still," said one attendee. "It's just crazy. But we're happy that the person is caught."
"Very sweet, very nice," said another. "She wasn't wild. She didn't bother anybody. She was a beautiful person. It was not meant for her, at all."
"There's no words for it," said a third. "There's no words."
Police say Gordon was not the intended target.
21-year old Christopher Johnson is charged with murder, attempted murder and assault.
