A straphanger is lucky to be alive after he fell onto the tracks right in front of an oncoming train at the Times Square subway station on Sunday.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the man fainted Sunday afternoon and fell onto the tracks moments before a north-bound 3 train entered the station.

The train passed right over the man without hitting him.

The man also managed to avoid hitting the third rail.

He was taken to the hospital.
