Police are offering a $12,000 reward as they try to find the person who fired the shots that killed a 28-year-old woman and injured three others after gunfire erupted Thursday night on the streets of Brooklyn.

A makeshift memorial now stands near the spot where Fatima Gordon, 28, was hit as she walked home from a nearby grocery store.

It happened just after 9 p.m. near 40 Clarkson Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

Gordon's mother, Cynthia Thomas, tells NY1 she heard the shots and saw her crawling under a car to get away from the bullets.

Gordon leaves behind a 4-year-old son.

"If they had a heart you know they would know that you don't do that because you could hit someone it could be even your own mother. You don't even know. They don't know what they did," Thomas said.

"She wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary she was in the wrong place literally at the wrong time," said one neighborhood resident.

"We have to get together not to kill one another, I don't think it's fair, no, I don't think so," said another neighborhood resident.

Police say a 13-year-old boy who also happened to be walking by was grazed by a bullet.

Two other men, both age 26, were also hit by gunfire.

One was shot in the arm and buttocks, the other was grazed.

Police are investigating whether one of the 26-year-olds was the intended target.
