The city has completed a multi-million dollar project that they say will help ease flooding in one Queens neighborhood.

New sewer lines, water mains and catch basins were installed in flood-prone areas of Forest Hills.

Priced at $24 million, the city says the infrastructure will improve water distribution, reduce sewer back-ups and keep catch basins from overflowing.

Forest Hills has been hit hard by recent downpours that left the basements of homes and businesses under several feet of water.
