A man is dead after plunging Thursday morning from an elevated subway platform after killing his wife inside their Queens home.

Police say it all began around 8 a.m. when Amis Cale, 41, stabbed his wife Jennifer Cale, 37, multiple times inside their third floor apartment located at 45-41 39th Place in Sunnyside.

The couple's 19-year-old daughter is said to have made the gruesome discovery.

"I ran up, and saw her full of blood on the floor. The daughter was screaming and showing pictures to police of the father, the suspect," said the family's building superintendent, Elias Suarez.

Cale was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

"Crazy, covered in blood. Just a very horrific scene especially so early in the morning. There were at least 20 emergency vehicles here and then they all just disappeared and went looking for the guy," said one neighbor.

Police say Amis Cale fled to a nearby subway station at 41st Street and Queens Boulevard where he plunged 40 feet to his death from an elevated platform.

He, too, was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
