A New York City Police Department sergeant is under arrest, and sources say her father is State Senator Ruben Diaz Sr.

Police say Damaris Rivera-Diaz, 43, keyed a car in the Bronx while off-duty just before noon Saturday.

She was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and aggravated harassment.

The car reportedly belongs to Diaz's boyfriend, who is also a police officer.

In addition to being the senator's daughter, Diaz's brother is Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.

Sources say Damaris Rivera-Diaz has been with the NYPD since 1993 and was suspended following her arrest.

By Sunday evening, Diaz had not commented on his daughter's arrest.
