Police are investigating a vandal's recent attack on Holocaust Memorial Park in Brooklyn as a possible bias incident.
Police were called after a local resident found a vulgar word and a Star of David spray-painted on the memorial in Sheepshead Bay.
The paint has since been removed.
The monument was built in 1985 as the city's first public memorial to the Holocaust.
