As the games begin across the Atlantic, little ones with big Olympic dreams are exercising at a variety of fitness events for kids.

An Olympic Fun Day was held Saturday at locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Events included relay races, field games and more.

The event celebrated First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" campaign to combat childhood obesity.

"One in three American children are overweight or obese," said Councilwoman Jessica Lappin. "So it's so important to make sure you do get your kids outside, even if it's just to the park for 30 minutes a day, to get them exercising."

Some of the events were held at Asphalt Green, where Olympic swimmer Lia Neal trained for the games.
