In an effort to squash the West Nile virus crews will be spraying pesticide in some parts of Queens and Staten Island.
This comes after the Health Department confirmed the city's first human case of the virus this year on Staten Island.
Trucks will spray parts of Rosedale, Brookville and Laurelton on July 31 between 8:15 p.m. and 6 a.m.
On Staten Island, spraying will take place in zip codes 10307, 10309 and 10312 on August 1 between 8:15 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The Health Department says when possible, people should stay indoors during the spraying.
