A jury acquitted two former police officers Thursday of assault during a traffic stop in 2008.

Former transit officers Michelle Anglin and Colleen Robinson were charged with beating Marlon Smith in a heated fight in the Bronx.

Smith needed 25 staples in his head to close the gashes.

The pair was convicted of official misconduct in May last year for not reporting the incident but a jury deadlocked on the other charges and a judge declared a mistrial in September.

Anglin and Robinson will be back in court in September for sentencing on the official misconduct charges.
