The parents of Simeonette Mapes-Crupi, who was found stabbed to death in her Heartland Village home July 5, are speaking out in hopes it will lead to an arrest in the case.

Mapes-Crupi was found by her husband on July 5, stabbed in the back.

The couple were both teachers at a high school in Brooklyn.

Simeonette's parents said they have no idea who would want to hurt her. They're hoping someone will come forward with some answers to help police in their investigation.

"As far as I'm concerned, my life is over because I miss my daughter with all my heart and soul," said Simeonette's mother, Theresa Mapes. "I miss her terribly. But we just want Staten Island to know that there's a murderer out there and we need to find who did this to my daughter."
