Another retrial is underway against two police officers accused of beating a man while off-duty in August 2008.

A judge declared a mistrial the last time Michelle Anglin and Colleen Robinson were in court back in September after new information surfaced about their accuser's history of violence against women.

The former transit officers will be tried again on assault charges after allegedly beating Marlon Smith in a heated fight during a traffic altercation in the Bronx.

Smith needed 25 staples to close the gashes in his head.

Anglin and Robinson were convicted of official misconduct in May of last year for not reporting the incident but the jury in that trial deadlocked on the assault charge.
