Police have arrested a man they say raped a tourist after tailing her from Union Square all the way to her Bronx hotel room.

Investigators believe Ivan Jones, 27, first encountered the 33-year-old North Carolina woman on the train at the Union Square subway station early Wednesday morning.

The woman took the train back to the Howard Johnson Express on Boston Road.

She told police she heard a knock on her door around 4 a.m. and when she answered a man forced his way in and raped her.

Jones is charged with rape, robbery, strangulation and assault.
