New York will be well represented at the All-Star Game Tuesday.

The Mets' David Wright and pitching ace R.A. Dickey will be suiting up in Kansas City.

However, Dickey was passed over as starting pitcher of the National League team for San Francisco's Matt Cain who threw a perfect game last month.

Dickey is 12-1 with a 2.40 ERA.

Speaking to reporters Monday he said he's taking the good with the bad.

"I'm sad about not getting to start, I'm disappointed. But I'm also elated about being here. And I hold both. I think that's maturity - I'm hoping that's maturity. And being able to walk forward and enjoy what's going on," Dickey said.

"It was a tough call. But I think whenever R.A. pitches or any one pitchers for either side - or plays; I think it's a great experience. But, I don't think it detracts at all from R.A.'s accomplishments and being here," said National League All Stars Manager Tony LaRussa.

The Yankees' Derek Jeter, Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano are all on the American League team.

Pitcher CC Sabathia, who is currently on the disabled list with a groin injury, will also be in attendance.
