The results are not yet certified but Congressman Charles Rangel is poised to win the primary in which he claimed victory nearly two weeks ago.

The City Board of Elections finished counting the remaining paper ballots in the 13th Congressional District race Saturday and Rangel emerged with a 987-vote lead over State Sen. Adriano Espaillat.

Espaillat is still challenging the results in court, alleging voter suppression and intimidation kept some Latinos from the polls.

All sides are due back in court on Wednesday.
