A Queens lifeguard is being hailed a hero after jumping into action Wednesday to save a boy's life.
Emily Harms, 21, says the boy's mother pulled him out of the pool at the Royal Ranch Club in Glen Oaks yesterday.
She says the boy was blue and not breathing.
Harms then revived the boy by giving him CPR before paramedics arrived.
The college student says she has worked at the pool for the past six summers but has never had to perform such a rescue.
"It's a little scary when a little kid is, you know, kind of not breathing by you so...luckily it happened right by the mom and she was able to pull him out of the water right away," Harms said.
Harms says the boy's mother told her he may have had a seizure while in the pool.
