The family and friends of the late Queens resident Danielle Thomas spoke out Sunday, a day after her ex-boyfriend was charged with murder in her death and was ordered held without bail.

Jason Bohn, 33, was arraigned on murder and evidence tampering charges Saturday in the alleged beating and strangulation death of his 27-year-old ex-girlfriend.

Bohn was arrested Friday night in White Plains, N.Y.

City police found Thomas' body surrounded in a tub full of ice on Tuesday in the pair's Astoria apartment.

Her loved ones say they knew the couple fought, but did not think her death could be an outcome.

A close friend of Thomas, Josh Johnson, said he hoped that Bohn would be found guilty.

"It just gives us a sense of relief, a piece of mind to know that he's in police custody," said Johnson. "There are charges against him and then hopefully from here the legal system will do what it's supposed to do."

On June 7, Thomas told authorities that Bohn had assaulted her.

Police say they listened in while Bohn called Thomas' cellphone and threatened her life while she was at the police station.

Thomas then obtained an order of protection.

On Friday, Thomas will be buried in her native Kentucky.
