Attorneys from both Mongolia and the U.S. have filed a lawsuit in an attempt to force the return of a nearly complete Tyrannosaurus Bataar Skeleton, worth nearly $1 million.

Mongolia claims the skeleton was stolen from the country and brought to the U.S. on false claims that it was found in Great Britain.

The bones, measuring 8 feet tall and 24 feet long, were found in the Gobi Desert about 8 years ago.

They were recently sold at auction by Heritage Auctions.

The company says the sale was conditional and depends on the court ruling.

The Tyrannosaurus is the first to go on the auction block since the T-Rex "Sue" sold for more than $8 million 15 years ago.
