Lawmakers in Albany are ready to ban teens from tanning.
Members of the State Senate and Assembly are working out a deal to pass the bill before the end of the Legislative session.
The new law would bar anyone 16 and younger from indoor tanning.
Currently, 14 to 17-year-olds can use the salons if they have parental permission.
Supporters of the bill claim indoor tanning poses a health risk to younger people.
