The Prospect Park Carousel has hit the century mark.
On Sunday, there were free rides and free cake for visitors to mark the ride's 100th birthday.
Fans young and old say the old time merry go round is still an amazing ride.
"I haven't been on the carousel in I don't know how many years now but I enjoy going round and round and up and down," said one carousel rider.
"I really love when children smile. Because it makes me happy and makes me want to continue doing this job," said Carousel Manager Lucio Schiavone.
The carousel spent 40 years in Coney Island before moving to Prospect Park in 1952.
