Police said early Saturday morning that the driver who struck and killed a 3-year-old boy in Brooklyn Friday night will not be charged.

The NYPD said an ambulette was traveling along Neptune Avenue in Coney Island around 7:45 p.m. Friday night when it hit 3-year-old Kevin Rodriguez, who was crossing West 15th Street.

"The only thing I saw, the little kid laying down on the floor, a lot of blood, and I saw a lot of people on top of the kid," said a witness at the scene.

The boy was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital.

Police said the ambulette driver remained on the scene.

Police said an investigation of the incident is ongoing.
