More details are emerging about the killing of Etan Patz.

According to Monday's New York Post, murder suspect Pedro Hernandez told police he stashed Etan's body in a basement refrigerator at the SoHo bodega where he worked before tossing it out with the trash.

The paper said the then 19-year-old Hernandez kept the body in the refrigerator until he could sneak it out to the street that night.

The detail reportedly came to light when Hernandez confessed to the 33-year-old crime.

He told police he lured the 6-year-old into the store with the promise of a soda.

In the meantime, a report in the New York Times says Hernandez confessed to a church prayer group sometime in the 1980s.

It's unclear if anyone reported that confession to police.

The church's current pastor says neither he nor his staff were with the church during that time. The police department has not commented on the reports.

Hernandez remains at Bellevue Hospital under suicide watch after being arraigned Friday for second degree murder.
