State education officials say they've identified another faulty question on the standardized tests.
They say it appeared on the fifth-grade math exam last month.
Apparently, the way the problem was worded made it impossible to solve.
It asked students to find the perimeter of a trapezoid. But to solve it correctly, students needed to use math concepts they would not learn until middle or high school.
Additionally, the right answer provided by Pearson, the test publisher, was actually wrong.
It is the fourth question to be thrown on on this year's tests.
NY1 has reached out to Pearson for comment.
