Rangers fans are flying high - or at least breathing a sigh of relief - after the Blue Shirts hung on to beat the Senators Thursday in game seven of their first round playoff series.
The Rangers got second period goals from defensemen Marc Staal and Dan Girardi on their way to a 2-1 win over Ottawa.
The Rangers now advance to play the Capitals in the second round.
Fans who spoke with NY1 say they're ready for more.
"I thought it was an incredible game," said one fan. "They really went out there and fought hard. And we came out with a win!"
"They played their hearts out all season. They killed it tonight. Henrik, forget it, best goaltending in the world," said another fan.
"We're gonna beat the Capitals, I hope four games, Hank's gotta come up big for us," said a third fan.
The Rangers lost to the Caps in the first round of the playoffs last year and in 2009.
