Authorities Search For Man Behind Fatal Fight At Subway Station

Police have released a sketch of a man wanted Sunday in connection with a fight in a Brooklyn subway station that ended with a Queens man being struck by a train.

They say the man seen above got into an argument with Joshua Basin, a 20-year-old Howard Beach resident, on an east-bound L train Friday night.

The two got off at the Bedford Avenue stop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and started fighting on the platform.

Both men fell onto the tracks, but while the suspect was able to pull himself up and ran away, Basin was hit by an oncoming Manhattan-bound train.

Basin was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.

"I need to find out what happened. Whoever out there is a coward because he run away, they run away and they never help him," said Zena Basin, Joshua's mother.

Howard Beach neighbors said Beach was a good man who never went looking for trouble.

"I've never really seen him fight. I've hung with him a few times on a few different occasions and he's all about his business and he never caused problems," said one friend.

"He never wanted trouble was always trying to avoid it. That's just the type of kid he was," said another.

The suspect is described as in his early to mid-30s, with a thin build, light complexion, dirty blond hair and pock marks on the right side of his face.

He was wearing brown pants, a black rain jacket and black sneakers.
