The Space Shuttle Enterprise will soar into the city next month, NASA officials announced Monday.
It will officially arrive on April 23 at John F. Kennedy Airport, and then be moved by barge to the Intrepid, Sea, Air and Space Museum Complex in June.
The Enterprise will be placed on the Intrepid's flight deck in a temporary pavilion in time for public viewing this summer.
Details for a permanent exhibit are still being worked out.
The Enterprise was one of six shuttles constructed, but the prototype never went into space.
