The mother of an infant found abandoned in the hallway of a Brooklyn apartment building will not be charged.
The Brooklyn district attorney's declined to file charges against Michelle Herrera.
Neighbors found the woman's five-month-old baby crying on the floor of a hallway in a building in Coney Island on Thursday.
The baby girl was not harmed and remains in the custody of the Administration for Children's Services.
There is no word as to the whereabouts of the baby's father.
