Department of Sanitation workers were prepared for up to three inches of snow Saturday, but there was little accumulation as flurries fell.

DSNY issued a “snow alert” Friday night. Salt spreaders, plows, and tire chains were all ready to go, but the snowfall didn't pack much of a punch.

Because of the moisture, however, residents were advised to beware of slippery conditions.

Some New Yorkers said they’re enjoying the mild winter, but others weren’t sure what to make of it.

“It is weird weather, absolutely. It’s crazy how the weather changed here in New York,” said one resident.

“I like it because I work in construction. We don’t have too much cold, it’s good,” said another.

To put it all in perspective, New Yorkers have seen less than 10 inches of snow this winter. At this time last year, 50 inches of snow had accumulated throughout the season.
