Football fans are expected to turn out in droves Tuesday for the Giants' victory parade through Lower Manhattan, and crews were hard at work Monday night to make sure it all goes off without a hitch.

Transit Alert

Beginning at 10 a.m. trains will not stop at the following stations to avoid overcrowding in and around the parade route : Wall St 4 or 5; City Hall R; Chambers St A or C; World Trade Center E; or Fulton St 4, 5, A or C.

The MTA suggests parade goers take the following trains:

Workers set up big screen monitors and lights, draped tarps, arranged hundreds of folding chairs and even put up scaffolding in front of City Hall.

Joe Del Grasso, one of the workers, has been a Giants fan since 1958. This is more than a job for him.

"My pride and joy. I bleed blue. My boys are coming here,” said Del Grasso.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Battery Place and Washington Street. It'll move up Broadway to Worth Street.

At 1 p.m., Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present the Giants with keys to the city during a ceremony at City Hall.

Still, if Monday afternoon was any indication, fans will be out well ahead of the official start time.

Fresh off their Super Bowl XLVI victory in Indianapolis, members of the New York Giants were greeted by more than 200 fans outside of MetLife Stadium.

Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks received the warm welcome with high fives.

Some fans hoped for autographs, while others wanted a little bit more.

"I wanted a hug from Manning, of course," said one fan. "Disappointed that they didn't come out, maybe, but we'll definitely keep trying."

Still, perhaps no one was more enthusiastic than the man piloting the plane. His grandchildren are named Eli and Peyton.

"I've done the Yankees World Series, I've done a lot of charters. I used to do all of the Jets and Giants flying couple years back, but it's special—Super Bowl victory is certainly a big deal," said the pilot, Mike Bowers.

But Eli Manning wasn't on the plane. He went to Disney World.

The celebrations follow a nail-biter of a game in which the Giants edged the Patriots 21-17.

The Giants took an early lead but fell behind New England by halftime.

After the Patriots extended their lead in the third quarter, the Giants battled back.

Late in the fourth quarter, Eli Manning led Big Blue on an 88-yard drive that included a 38-yard pass to Mario Manningham, who managed to keep his feet in bounds.

Several plays later, Ahmad Bradshaw ran six yards for a touchdown to put the Giants ahead for good.

The Patriots had one last shot at the ball, but with time running out, quarterback Tom Brady threw a Hail Mary into the end zone that wound up incomplete.

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said he was only thinking one thing.

"I was yelling and thinking to myself knock the ball down, knock the ball down which is what we tell the guys to do in that circumstance. You know, I didn't get a good look at it. I saw at the end when the official was going like this. I did take a sigh of relief," Coughlin said.

This is the fourth title for the Giants and the second for Manning, who was also named MVP for the second time.

"This is not about bragging rights, this is a lot bigger," said Manning. "This is about a team, an organization, being named world champions, and that was the ultimate goal. That's the only thing that's important..is the team finding a way to get a victory. And so that's the only thing I care about."

Manning also led the team to its upset Super Bowl victory over the Patriots in 2008.

Fans Flock To Times Square Modell's

Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham, whose stunning catch started the winning drive Sunday, got some accolades from fans in Times Square.

Manningham joined his teammate Dave Tollefson at the Modell's to meet with fans and the media.

Manningham fielded questions about his now legendary catch of a 38-yard pass from Eli Manning.

The receiver just managed to keep his feet in bounds.

"Critical part of the game, um, he's just, man the ball he threw was just, man, like it was crazy. Perfect ball. Perfect ball,” said Manningham.

“It was awesome, man, it's just everything you expected it to be, man. Running on adrenaline, no sleep, it's such a great feeling. The guys, it's about the guys, man," said Tollefson.

Manningham, a free agent, says while he doesn't know what team he'll be playing for next season, he wanted to end his Giants year with a bang.
