The Super Bowl-bound New York Giants headed back to the gridiron Thursday for their first day of practice since their nail-biting win in San Francisco.

During a Thursday indoor practice at Timex Performance Center in East Rutherford, N.J., Big Blue had its eyes set on winning big over the New England Patriots in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 5.

The G-Men, who are the current NFC champs, already defeated the Patriots earlier this season in New England's home stadium.

The Patriots may be seeking revenge, as the Giants defeated them in the Super Bowl four years ago, but Giants players told reporters today they are more interested in playing their best.

"At this point, it's not so much about revenge, it's just about the opportunity to win a championship. That's what has motivated us these past weeks," said Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

"We're going out to win the Super Bowl. We're not even thinking about that revenge thing," said Giants safety Deon Grant.

"There's been a lot of expectation, a lot of stuff going on, but clearly the Super Bowl parties are much better here after a victory, so we're not out there for leisure," said Giants offensive lineman Chris Snee.

"All season we've been preparing and talking about this opportunity and for us, this team was pretty much written off this year, so this is more significant for all of us," said Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

Manning said one of the best things he did in the week leading up to Super Bowl XLII in Phoenix was to stay by the same schedule and same routine. He plans on following that path when the Giants get to Indianapolis Monday for Super Bowl XLVI.

NY1's Kevin Garrity will have reports from Indianapolis, leading up to and during Super Bowl XLVI.
