A private wake is being held today on the Upper East Side for the five family members killed in the Christmas Day fire in Connecticut.
Lily Badger, 10, and seven-year-old twins Grace and Sarah Badger were killed, along with their grandparents, after flames engulfed their Stamford home.
A funeral service open to the public will be held tomorrow at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Midtown.
Investigators say discarded fireplace embers sparked the fire.
There's word today that those embers were taken out of the fireplace because the children had been concerned that Santa Claus might get burned coming down the chimney.
The girls' mother, Madonna Badger, and her boyfriend managed to escape the fire.
