A city teen is being charged with attempted murder in connection to a stabbing at a Brooklyn school Tuesday that left another teen in critical condition, sources tell NY1.

Police say the two tenth graders got into an argument during a pick-up basketball game at Erasmus Hall High School in Flatbush.

Sources say the victim, Alfredo Allen, 15, slapped Chevoy Nelson, 16, in the face.

They say Nelson then went into a classroom and brought back a pair of scissors, which he allegedly used to stab Allen several times in the head.

Allen was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he underwent surgery.

One student says she was nearby when Allen was stabbed.

"I was in gym already but it had happened. When I came I just seen him falling first. I was like shocked, I was like, what happened, what's going on. And it was just shocking, I was so scared," said the student.

Sources say Nelson is also facing assault and criminal weapons possession charges.
