Occupy Wall Street protesters demonstrated at Duarte Square in Lower Manhattan Saturday to mark three months of the movement, and several of them were taken into custody by police.

Protesters jumped over a fence onto Trinity Church's property, prompting the arrests.

Prior to the intervention from police, the group was giving speeches and musical performances to mark three months of the movement.

Demonstrators were also marking one year since Tunisian Mohammad Bouazizi set himself on fire, inspiring what became known as the "Arab Spring."

Duarte Square at Sixth Avenue and Canal Street is owned by Trinity Church, which has been supportive of the Occupy Wall Street movement, but on Friday, a top bishop with the Episcopal Church pleaded with protesters not to trespass on the property, saying that could result in "legal and police action.”

Protesters argued the space is vacant and therefore should be open to them.

More than a dozen protesters were arrested at the site after the evacuation of Zuccotti Park last month.
