A Metropolitan Transportation Authority maintenance supervisor was charged with assault Saturday after sources say he stabbed another employee in the Bronx while on the job.

Alex Davis, 41, is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Sources say Davis got into a work-related argument with the other employee just after 8 a.m. Saturday near White Plains Road and Allerton Avenue in Bronxdale.

The sources say that's when Davis pulled out a knife and stabbed the 59-year-old man.

They say the victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

MTA officials say Davis will face disciplinary action.
