An American Airlines flight from John F. Kennedy Airport was forced to make an emergency landing outside Buffalo last night.
Officials say Flight 177 was headed to San Francisco when the pilot noticed smoke in the cockpit.
The plane landed safely at Buffalo Niagara International Airport shortly after 7 p.m. and all 173 passengers were escorted off the plane.
No injuries were reported, and so far there is no word on what caused the smoke condition.
