Police were searching Tuesday for a livery cab driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a man in the Bronx late Monday.

Investigators say Ronald Simpson, 43, was hit at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 163rd Street in Morrisania just after 11 p.m. Monday.

The driver of the cab fled the scene and Simpson was then hit by a private sanitation truck.

The truck driver remained on the scene.

Simpson was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
