The family of a Brooklyn woman killed in a shooting is filing a wrongful death suit against the city.

The $10 million suit accuses the police department of negligent hiring, training and supervision of officers.

Denise Gay, 56, was killed on September 5 near the West Indian Day Parade route.

Gay was outside of her Crown Heights home at the time of the shooting.

Police arrested LeRoy Webster, 32, for the shooting, but investigators say ballistics tests show the bullet that killed Gay did not come from his gun.

They say it's unclear if the shot was fired by police or by someone else.
