The parents accused of abducting their eight children from a Queens foster care center have waived extradition, and are asking to be returned to New York.
Nephra Payne, 34, and Shanel Nadal, 28, appeared in a Pennsylvania courtroom Wednesday.
Both were arrested last week in Harrisburg after a week-long search.
They face charges in New York including kidnapping and child endangerment.
Police say Nadal took her daughter and seven sons during a supervised visit at the Forestdale Foster Care Agency in Forest Hills.
The kids, originally removed because of an abuse allegation, are now in protective custody.
The couple claims the kids were being abused in the foster care system and their lawyer says they are optimistic the family will ultimately be reunited.
