A new study released this week finds a high number of pedestrians are being treated for injuries resulting from collisions with cyclists.

Two Hunter College professors say more than 2,200 people were injured in the city between 2007 and 2010.

East Harlem, the Lower East Side, and Chinatown were among the most dangerous neighborhoods for pedestrians in Manhattan.

In Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Bedford-Stuyvesant also had high numbers of pedestrian injuries from bike accidents.

Researchers say the number of injured pedestrians is probably higher, since not everyone seeks medical treatment after they are hit.

The study was funded by the Stuart C. Gruskin Foundation.

Gruskin was killed by a delivery biker riding the wrong way on 42nd Street.
