The so-called "Occupy Wall Street" demonstration entered its second day Sunday .

More than 1,000 people have gathered to protest the influence of high finance over politics.

Many demonstrators are planning to stick around long after the opening bell rings tomorrow.

"We're trying to get — lessen the influence of corporations on pretty much everything: our lives, the government, that's why I'm here,” said one protester.

“Having been fairly on top in life and having certainly been on the bottom, I'm here to find out more how to make things happen,” said another.

“People across the country are feeling exactly what we're feeling right now, which is that Wall Street has too much power and too much money," said a third.

Police say two people wearing bandanas over their faces were taken into custody after trying to enter the building that houses Bank of America.

Authorities say none of the activists sought permits for the protests.
