Many New Yorkers are stocking up on the essentials in advance of the storm.
"I decided to come to the store and pick up a few supplies to help make sure that we have batteries, water, and a few other essentials at home that we might otherwise not want to find out at the last minute we don't have,” said one Food Emporium customer.
“Milk, bread, you know, maybe some candles just in case,” said another.
“I stocked up on snacks. I wanted chocolate because I figured if the power goes out, I'm going to need something to calm my nerves," said a third.
