In Queens, a day at the beach in the Rockaways turned out to be a bit shaky due to Tuesday's earthquake.

Some beachgoers thought of Japan and the massive quakes and tsunamis there, while others just took it all in stride.

"I am not afraid of tsunamis. Hopefully, they would be warning us if something was coming," said one beachgoer. "We are just switching cars and I am coming back to the beach."

"It felt like my whole beach chair was shaking," said another.

"You can look at the ocean right now. It's so eerie right now. Over there you don't see no white caps. It's totally eerie," said a third.

In the end, no tsunami warnings were issued.

From Astoria to Jamaica and even all the way out in Far Rockaway, NY1 got reports of buildings swaying, and people who could feel the quake while driving in their cars.
