The Lexington Avenue line is back on track following a train derailment in East Harlem on Wednesday morning.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says a 6 train derailed just south of the 125th Street station just before 4:30 a.m.
About 100 passengers were evacuated through a rescue train.
Passengers who spoke with NY1 said it was definitely not the kind of news you want to hear before heading into work.
"It's scary. Scary. I usually ride in the front car, not sure if its any more dangerous than riding in the middle but can't do anything about it, just live life do what you got to do," said one straphanger.
"I heard it when I came out of the shower, it scared me. But we came down nice and easy though, so, scared me a lot," said another.
No injuries were reported.
