Police say the man wanted for groping women on Manhattan's East Side has struck for a 10th time.
They say the man attacked a 21-year-old victim around 4:30 a.m. Sunday near East 111th Street and Third Avenue.
In most of the attacks the suspect approaches a woman in her 20s or 30s, lifts her skirt and gropes her.
However, investigators say one case was an attempted rape.
"I don't believe that rape was the goal all along. It might have been just the opportunity because most of the events are taking place in public," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters Tuesday.
Investigators believe the suspect works odd hours, since many of the attacks happen late at night or overnight and might not have much contact with the public.
He is described as a being a Hispanic man between 4-feet-11-inches and 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighing 120 to 130 pounds with spiked hair.
Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
