A man is facing charges after he was found swimming naked in water next to John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The Port Authority says the naked swimmer was spotted just before 11 a.m. Tuesday in a waterway near the airport's fuel farm.

The agency says the man ran toward the fuel farm when patrols approached.

He was caught near a boat dock and never actually entered the restricted area.

The man was taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation and was charged with criminal trespassing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
