Police officers shot and killed an armed suspect in Brooklyn yesterday afternoon.
Investigators say 45-year-old Carl Lastorino walked into Peter's Tire and Rims shop on Linden Boulevard just before 5 p.m. and pulled one of two guns.
He then yelled "Peter, this is for you" and opened fire, shooting a man in the shoulder before running off.
Police caught up with him a few blocks away, as he tried to get into a livery cab.
Investigators say Lastorino pointed his empty gun at the officers and said, "You're not going to take me alive."
Two officers ordered him to drop his weapon before firing one shot each, killing him.
The tire shop victim was brought to Brookdale Hospital and is said to be okay.
