A big push is underway to tackle Governor Andrew Cuomo's same-sex marriage bill as the legislative session winds down.
The Democrat-controlled State Assembly is widely expected to have enough votes for approval. However, it's a different story in the Republican-led State Senate.
Two years ago, a measure failed in the senate by a vote of 38-to-24.
The current tally stands at 29 opposed, 26 for and seven undecided.
The legislative session is scheduled to end next Friday.
