Just days after an elderly woman was sexually assaulted on the Upper East Side, police released information Wednesday on another sexual attack in the same neighborhood.
Police say the attack that took place on May 22 involved a different suspect than the man behind Monday's incident.
"The woman on 90th Street that was attacked, she was grabbed and I believe was roughly about the same time in the morning, 5 o'clock," said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
Early Monday morning, another man attacked an 85-year-old woman on 83rd Street near Madison Avenue, forced her into a doorway and sexually assaulted her. Police say the surveillance video seen above shows that perpetrator.
Police said Wednesday they were looking into several tips and had a better idea of the suspect's route that morning.
The man behind Monday's attack is described as being in his 20s, about 5-feet-10-inches, with tattoos on both arms.
