Police say the sister of a Queens woman found fatally stabbed inside her home Monday was taken into custody.
Charges were still pending Tuesday.
Investigators say the sister assaulted another woman and was then to taken to the hospital, where she was taken into custody.
Police found the victim, identified by sources as Sharon Lee Hill, 58, with several stab wounds in her apartment at the Baisley Park Houses in Jamaica yesterday afternoon.
Sources say her nose and ears were cut off and that neighbors heard a noisy argument earlier.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said the department was also investigating allegations that police were slow to respond to the victim's home.
